Eligibility:           Income eligible seniors age 60 and older, retired or no longer in the work force, capable of serving children on a personal and regular basis, physically able, and willing to accept supervision as needed

Services:  

·      Activities:

o     Foster grandparents and children can play games, read, or simply enjoy each other’s company in a variety of settings (e.g. daycare centers, Head Start, public/private schools, in the home setting, etc.)

·      Benefits:

o     Stipend of $2.65 per hour for an average 20 hour week (4-5 hours daily)

o     One hot meal per day

o     Transportation or mileage reimbursement

o     Physical examination

o     Accident and liability insurance

o     Annual sick and holiday leave

o     Orientation and in-service training program

o     Information and referral services

o     Annual recognition program
