A note to our readers:

The Senior Network has published this directory in an attempt to share information about senior services and resources available in Boone County.

We have tried to provide as much clarity and detail as possible to help you locate and access community senior services.  If you have further questions, contact one of the agencies listed under “General Information” in the table of contents. Here is a thumbnail sketch of each general information resource.

• Boone County Council on Aging (BCCA) is locally funded and provides information and volunteer-based services to older persons residing in Boone County only.
• The Central Missouri Area Agency on Aging (CMAAA) is federally funded and provides information and assistance to seniors in 19 mid-Missouri counties. The nursing home ombudsman program is located at this agency.
• The Family Support Division is state funded and is the entry agency for state-funded programs.
• United Way 2-1-1 is a toll-free phone number that connects people with available community resources and volunteer opportunities. A trained information professional can be reached 7 days a week, 24 hours a day by calling 211.
• The Voluntary Action Center (VAC) is locally funded and provides information about local services and resources to persons of all ages.

The Senior Network of Columbia welcomes, and is composed of, representatives of Columbia area organizations, agencies, and businesses, as well as individuals who are interested in promoting the quality of life for the senior citizens of Boone County.  The Senior Network meets at 8:00 a.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at the Columbia Area Senior Center, 1121 Business Loop 70 East. 

Resources included in this directory have been contacted for accuracy.  However, the Senior Network does not accept responsibility for errors, omissions, or quality of services provided by the agencies, organizations, or businesses listed in this directory.
